Old City Fest!
October is perfect, even when the weather is not. After days of summer-like sun, spotty rain transformed our block into a fall-feeling mecca of color, craft, food and art.
I can recall stumbling upon Old City Fall Fest last year during a morning-after-night-out journey for diet carbonation. I wore strange sweatpants and an oddly situated baseball cap only to find that the entirety of the neighborhood was out in their autumns finest.
This year, I was ready. Nathan was too. We walked the closed streets, ran into friends, drank a beer, took shelter for rain, but mostly meandered through the store-front turned street-front displays of the shops we love, documenting the delicious oddities along the way.
Shoutout to Instagram's: @twoMSsisters for first showing me how special and beautiful dream catchers are! They are even more so when customized. (I could have used one last night, I had terrible dreams that Nathan didn't enjoy hanging out with me anymore! Thank goodness he proved that dream/nightmare wrong today :) )
