Our Story
Nathan and I both grew up in the Philadelphia-Area, yet 1,000 miles apart.
Nathan hail(State!)s from a small town outside of Philadelphia Mississippi. I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Our first encounter was had on a roof top in York, Pa. (the band 'Live' wrote a profanity rich song about that town which sums it up quite...nicely). Despite some very vigorous batting of eyelashes on my part, neither one of us were prepared to understand exactly where our sometimes blurry, always political late-night conversations would lead. Both brought to the area by our very different professions, our respective homes pulled us back less than a year later.
Once Nathan resumed his career in politics and I accepted a job reporting for a Philadelphia TV Station, it took another six months, and a close range encounter with the Pope before the courage was found to confess that I never really had anything in my eyes during our late-night talks. With that, late-night conversations turned into every night conversations.
Recently engaged, the two of us now reside in the latter of our two Philly's alongside two enormous cats. The adventure that bridged those 1,000 miles has nothing on the adventures that lie ahead.
